About the Event

Join USGBC Texas' South Region and other local partners for Bike to Work Day to for  bike tune-ups and to promote sustainable alternative modes of transportation, i.e. biking, walking, co-riding, bussing to work.

Participants using alternative modes of transportation can join us for breakfast (Fresh Waffles!) and coffee.

Established in 1956 by the League of American Bicyclists, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more folks to give biking a try. The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) has coordinated National Bike Month programming for the greater San Antonio area since 2018. In each year since, hundreds of participants have turned out for National Bike Month events like Bike to Work Day, the Bike Beat festival and Street Skills classes. Before that, AAMPO hosted the Walk & Roll Rally, in conjunction with regional transportation partners, held annually in the spring for over two decades
