For 2026, USGBC Texas will hold simultaneous gatherings in all five of the Chapter's regions connected via video feed to create one BIG Texas event! In-person gatherings are being planned for the following locations:
- Austin (Central Region)
- Dallas (North Region)
- El Paso (West Region)
- Houston (Gulf Coast Region)
- Lower Rio Grande Valley (South Region)
- San Antonio (South Region)

Keynote Speaker: Betsy del Monte, FAIA
Betsy del Monte, FAIA, is an architect focused on resilience and regenerative design. She is working in Western North Carolina with the Appalachian Design Center and WNC AIA to further community participation in resilience after Storm Helene. She is also a Principal Consultant with the Cameron MacAllister Group, advisors to the design and construction professions. CMG offers targeted advisory services to help firms become better at what they do and is considered a trusted voice with many leading design firms.
Betsy brings her devoted interest and experience in making a more sustainable and resilient built environment to help design-oriented firms discover and achieve their goals in these areas, and to help them integrate sustainable thinking more fully into their culture, organization and work.
She also lectures in sustainable design and development at Clemson University and the Lyle School of Engineering at SMU.
Betsy served on the AIA national Strategic Council 2018-2020, and as 2021 Chair of the national COTE Leadership Group, and the national AIA Sustainable Leaders Group. She has been President of AIA Dallas, VP of TXArchitects, and chair of the North Texas Green Building Council. She has been named a Fellow by the AIA, a Fellow by SMU's Hunt Institute, and a Senior Fellow by the Design Futures Council.
Betsy received her BS in architecture from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Architecture degree from Rice University. Her experience includes work at architecture firms in Atlanta and Houston, as well as nine years with Philip Johnson and John Burgee in New York.
