About this Event

Join us in Fort Worth to learn about green building and sustainable development practices in Texas that were presented on  the USGBC Texas State Advocacy Day in Austin on February 19.

John Forest will discuss the overall USGBC priorities for this current Legislation session and present a summary of 8-11 proposed bills and USGBC Texas positions on:

  • Government Leadership by Example
  • Raising the Bar on Codes and Regulations
  • Community-wide Sustainability
  • Green Schools
  • Private Sector Market Transformation
  • Water conservation and protection
  • Land use planning and conservation
  • Multimodal transportation and urban redevelopment

USGBC members are working with government, member businesses, and allied organizations to support policies and programs that advance greener buildings and communities in Texas.

There will be information prepared for attendees to share with your representatives in person or email.
