About the Event:
Houston Endowment's headquarters is a 31,718-square-foot hybrid steel and cross-laminated timber building located in the heart of Houston's Buffalo Bayou corridor. Opened in September 2022, the building was designed from the outset as an exemplar of sustainable design, integrating geothermal HVAC, solar panels, a scalloped aluminum rainscreen, smart building monitoring, and native landscaping. In 2025, it became the first philanthropy headquarters in the country to achieve LEED Platinum Operations + Maintenance certification.
This tour will explore how sustainable design principles have translated into measurable, real-world results.
